I personally don't care where Jesus stands politically. It's not an argument that flies. I am not religious, so I personally think Jesus has little bearing on whether or not I should have my private property confiscated in order to provide for you the things you choose not to provide for yourself. Just so ya know though, I was raised Christian, and I have read the bible, and I think you've got Jesus all wrong. Yes, Jesus would want everybody taken care of, but he would reject the notion that some should be forced to provide for others with the tip of a roman spear.

You keep saying that people should help. If people wanted to help they would. In fact many do. More would if the government wasn't taking so much. But the reality is that you don't mean that people should help. When the government puts a gun in my face and takes my private property in order to buy your vote with it. I reject the idea that I "helped" you.

If you don't think the gun is involved, you are mistaken. If I choose not to pay my huge tax bill, or if I choose to pay only part of it, and somebody notices, I will be audited. If I still refuse I will be charged. When my defense is unacceptable, I will be convicted. If I refuse to accept my sentence, the guns will come out. They were always there you see, it just took someone like me to force them to play their hand. It takes someone like me to force them to show where their power really comes from, and what they are really all about. They want what is mine so that they can buy power from people like you, and they will use force to take it from me.
