But only lost adults need a superstition to explain things and an absolute authority (such as our worthless elitist Constitution) to tell us how to behave.

Ancient Rome had reached the depths of decadence and depravity, which drove people into false alternatives. Christianity was merely escapism from that; converts neglected their duty to return to the ways that built the greatness of Rome in the first place. The Postmodern Era will only sink civilization lower if the historical failure of religion is tried again as a solution.
