You are correct that if the laws of nature are correct then there must be a necessary something. Of course the laws of nature could be wrong. it just might be that the universe sprung into existence with no cause. But once we abandon causality then all the rest of what we know is merely what we want to believe.so if we assume that causality is true then we must conclude that SOMETHING created the universe and that something must necessarily be supernatural.If you combine the need for a supernatural with the revelation that many have had then one can start to form a picture of what that something must be like - albeit through a glass darkly.
