When someone says they will return "soon" and then does not appear for 2000 years, what name do you suggest for people who still think he will appear "soon?

What do you call people who believe that when Jesus died, corpses popped out of their graves and began to cruise Jerusalem?

The Resurrection was a hoax cooked up to re-instate the power of the Apostles. Christ's flock had become totally disillusioned by the Crucifixion and were about to abandon this obviously false Messiah.
The Apostles suckered them into believing that Jesus could never die; that the Crucifixion itself wasn't what it seemed to be. They had to walk back the promise that Jesus would liberate Israel, coming up with an even greater empowering promise.

I have read the Bible twice, once with my Grandmother's old concordance, and once with Isaac Asimov's concordances (OT an NT)
What is called "Bible studies" is not really studying at all.

When you properly study any subject you do not understand, you start without any opinions at all and analyze exactly what the words mean. You expect what you are studying to actually make sense.

"Bible studies" starts with the premise that the Bible is 100% true and your job is to force yourself to understand HOW it is true. Meaning that the snake in the Garden actually spoke and had legs, Balam's ass actually spoke, the Sun refused to set one afternoon so the Hebrews could trounce some other tribe, that madness is caused by demons and cured using a herd of swine, and that zombies celebrated Jesus' crucifixion by popping out of their graves and cruising Jerusalem.

And of course, there is the Trinity, which is barely mentioned in the Bible.
