Safety over civil liberties priority #1

I haven't heard you make a peep about the recent Executive order 12425.
You mean the one ReRon Reagan signed??????

It seems you are fine with violating rights and ignoring the constitution when you think the ends justify the means... its only when you disagree with a policy or program that you show any concern for rights or constitutional legality.
....And, I had no idea you were so ignorant, about Interpol. Gotta be pretty-embarrassing, for you.

You've gotta be one o' those John-Wayne-types...who wants to send-in The Marines (at the drop-of-a-hat)....when a Cop leaves a much-smaller foot-print....for a fraction of the cost....to get the same job done, while minimizing collateral-damage.

Folks,
It is time that we stop bending over backwards to appease the left wing bleeding heart liberals and the ACLU and make SAFETY priority #1. I have not seen or heard of a terrorist/jihadist over the age of, maybe 35. ALL of them have been between 17-30/34 years of age, so these are the people that should be screened, if suspicious. DO NOT hassle the frequent flyers, a family with small children in tow or the elderly husband and wife traveling to see their grandchildren. The TSA and Government is deathly afraid of the word "profiling", when that is EXACTLY what they should be doing. They know exactly what traits a suspected terrorist acts like when he is about to perform a terrorist act. But then, the actions of the Federal governments/TSA are NOT logical, never have been and never will be.

The actions of the TSA & Government are exactly what the terrorist wants, for everyone to be afraid and with each attempt and subsequent reactions of the Government they have achieved their goal.

Here is a novel idea - STOP ISSUING VISAS TO PEOPLE THAT MEET THE PROFILE OF THE TERRORIST HARBORING COUNTRIES!!!!

Another thing, waiting until a suspected person or one that is on the No-Fly or Person-of-Interest watch list is checked in and most likely already on-board an aircraft is TOO DAMN LATE!! I doubt very much that anyone really looks at the hundreds of thousands of names that are sent daily to the TSA are really looked at to make sure a name is not on the APIS. We have the technology to check every confirmed reservation days and even weeks before the suspected individual is scheduled to travel. Once he reaches the Airport he/she can be taken aside and questioned and, if required, searched/scanned to make sure they don't pose a threat and if required cancel their VISA into the USA. But this is logical, and as I said in the beginning, there is NOTHING logical about the actions/reactions of the TSA or the Federal Government. Another thing, something that has been a warning flag for over 25 years; if a person paid cash for a ticket, that person or persons are IMMEDIATELY targeted for secondary screening. This data is included in the passenger’s PNR (Passenger Name Record) in the reservations system of EVERY Airline in the world!

To the bleeding heart liberals that will, I am 100% sure, disagree with my comments, TOO DAMN BAD!!!

SAFETY PRIORITY #1 - CIVIL LIBERTIES OF SUSPECTED INDIVIDUALS #2 - PERIOD!!!!!!

The technology is available to do this without throwing away any of our civil liberties. The problem is, no one wants to spend the money to implement it. They'll spend money on all of these economy draining social programs, but somthing like this would actually create jobs for U.S. citizens gets to take a back seat.

The Terrorist won it seems, at least with you.

So scared your willing to give our rights, because someone may (will) succeed at sometime blowing up a airliner.....Of course I have a greater chance of being killed by lighting by a large amount, but still...Lets piss our pants and burn the constitution and throw out our values!

And as I stated over and over, your simplistic idea of profiling...is a great way to tell them just how to walk in and blow up a plane...find someone who fails the proifle...done...

Also again Terrorism is not the only thing they are watching for....you watch everyone, and watch for signs that trained pros know to look for...and you make things random, because you can't plan against random.

Do you have any experience in Premise Security? Yes, you are right, you watch everyone, but what you watch them for is profiling. You can't pull every sweaty nervous person out of line and strip search them. Watch an airport waiting line and the people who are most nervous are the ones who don't fly much or are claustrophobic. Profiling is a cornerstone to all premise security. With that said, there a bunch of technology things that we can do that will make all travel safer, but we'd rather spend money building airports in Pennsylvania that have only 15 people a day going though it.

If safety is your number one priority, I have an idea that would actually make you more safe. Lower the speed limits on the roads in this country. Unlike imposing stricter airport security measures, pushing for a policy like this could actually save a significant number of lives.

How about just enforcing the law on the speed limits we have now.

The issue both you and Factcheck.org are missing is not that we cooperate with Interpol, but that this gives them immunity under the law similar to an Embassy.

We should have foreign agency on our soil that is above audit and investigation.

Whew!!

Your fantasies ARE gettinng more-creative.

I'm sure the DOD would appreciate hearing-from-you.

Next time you post something, you should probably read it. That way you can actually contribute something to the conversation. Among other things, the Pres. signature gave Interpol freedom from prosecution or audit by any U.S. Federal Agency or Congress. I don't like the idea of a foreign agency being unsupervised within our borders.

By the way, good job not using any of the words and names you usually invoke, but you couldn't help but throw the Depart. of Defense in there. What's your gripe with them? They work for Pres. Obama, so they should be on your nice list.

And, while were talking about Pres. Obama, when are you going to buck up and finally give us your short list of issues with our current leader? There must be something he hasn't done right in your eyes.

O.K., what you've identified are symptoms of The I$$ue (as I see it).

You say "We have the technology to check...", but you've yet to identify what the hold-up is; what I'm suggesting is The I$$ue: Financing.

You're suggesting the bleeding heart liberals are against such financing?? Or, are you suggesting the bleeding heart liberals are allies of terrorists??

What would such moves (to implement the technology to check) co$t?? It's at that point that those proud, patriotic "conservatives" begin to disappear.

Until you identify the co$t involved, to implement the technology to check, you're not gonna see any moves to make the required-changes. Also, seeing-as-how any increased-taxes (on tickets, possibly, for financing) are a non-starter....primarily because most, yearly air-travel is bu$ine$$-related....where's this financing coming-from?
