Republicans here and in other places love trying to make claims about Democrats and racism. The love telling blacks how it was Repubicans that freed the slaves, that it was democrats who started the KKK, that it was Republicans in higher percentages that voted for the Civil Rights Act. So let's play their game for a moment.

Republicans promised blacks reparations after slavery. As a result of emancipation, in January of 1865, Special Field Order 15 was issued. In July 1865, Circular 13 was issued by General Oliver Howard, fully authorizing the lease of 40-acre plots of land to the newly freed blacks.

As a result of these actions, 40,000 formerly enslaved people began work on land that now belonged to them. But President Andrew Johnson killed these two orders and removed those 40,000 blacks from that land while destroying any income they could make. He gave the land back to whites.

So are Republicans today willing to keep the promise they made and pay blacks the reparations they promised?

President Lincoln and republicans, backed by thousands of abolitionist Christians, were successful in their war against the democrat slave owners which resulted in the freeing of the slaves by Civil War.

All politicians make promises they do not keep. We can vote for anyone in our state no matter how one is register. I know that does not matter to you, but was a democrat most of my adult life. I vote for the scenarios that affect my life as well. People only understand the things that people are or were going through unless they have experienced the same.
I wanted the border watched due to the cartel and the drugs pouring into our country. I understand what you are saying. Different thing affect people’s life and family. Yours is unfortunately slavery! I can control my thoughts and actions as others can as well. Do I agree how all carry out their actions? No. A lot of it is disgraceful! From the woman on the bus getting no help at all from anyone to the George Floyd that people watched and recorded scared probably to get shot but no one is scared now destroying and destruction while spitting in a cop’s face! That’s all the parts that have to change! Society! Will it ever? I think I know the answer… and you as well. I don’t want to sit here and be rude etc. My thoughts might sound stupid but that’s how I make my decision on voting. Is it right for everyone? No and it never will be!

It is only rarely that a politician can foresee the degree of difficulty it will be to keep a promise. Obviously, Trump had no clue about how to lower prices, how to lower pharma prices, how to stop school shootings.

Smart voters know from experience that no politician can lower grocery prices, because this has never happened.

Whites did not lose anything from fighting in the Civil War. NOR did they fight to free the saves. White Civil War veterans got reparations, and so did white slave owners from the loss of their slaves. When you try debating, you should know what you are talking about. What you have consistently done is repeat BS from white nationalist rhetoric from various online sources.

So let me make this clear to you: if I burn down your house, then I rebuild it, you will not thank me for rebuilding what I burned down. Whites like you need to stop begging for gratitude for things you did not do, nor did your ancestors. They did not fight to free anyone, and if they had fought for that, they should not have been congratulated for correcting a human rights violation they never should have committed. I don't see any of you right-wing whites saying thank you to any Muslim who turns in an Islamic terrorist, and the fact that they do this is the only reason why we catch them in the first place.
