I'm re-writing history? You must try to learn how to use your brain to good effect, kid! Your lack of logic is mindboggling! Let's address your flawed logic and your selectively-leftwing view of history, shall we?
Yes, the USA nuked Japan! Would you have thanked the Japanese military for attacking Pearl Harbor, for killing millions of innocent Chinese men, women, and children (an estimated 1/4 million in Nanking alone), for torturing American, British, and Austrailian captives during the war, for the nation's warlike mentality that insisted that the entire Pacific region should be owned by Japan, etc? Talk about "Stealing land", the Japanese were experts at it! The US didn't start the war, kid, Japan did! If the US had lost that war to Japan, Americans would have been enslaved by the Japanese. The USA re-built Japan into one of the more successful and productive nations on earth! The number of Japanese killed by the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs is estimated to be in the mid-low 100-thousands, a similar number to those murdered in Nanking by the Japanes up-close and personal with the victims hands tied behind their backs. Had the US been forced to invade Japan in 1945, US losses were estimated to be 1 million dead, and Japanese losses were expected to be in the multiple millions! If you think the US would have been smarter to let Japan enslave the peoples of the Pacific rim rather than destroy their criminal government, I'd like to see you defend your position! If you believe the US would have been smarter and kinder to have invaded Japan rather than nuke two cities, I'd like to see you defend the huge additional loss of life!
The US hasn't killed a million Iraqis, but it's useless to argue numbers since everyone has a different one. You would have preferred to have left Iraq in the hands of Sadam Hussein? I saw the Iraq war from this perspective: We removed one of the worst dictators in the history of the middle east. Should we have done that? I said at the time that history would eventually prove whether the Iraqi people deserved being liberated from Sadam. The Iraqi people would either take good advantage of the liberty handed to them via the deaths of American heros, OR they'd prove to the world that they didn't deserve liberation. It's looking pretty bad right now, but the answer isn't yet certain. IF Iraq becomes a productive, peaceful, and inclusive society, the war will be proven to have been a orrect decision. If, however, Iraq heads in the direction of most Islamic nations, the war will have been a waste of good Americans in pursuit of freedom for a population who deserve freedom! Time will tell. The same thing holds true for Afghanistan.
