World War is less likely than wide-spread sabotage. All borders are more open than ever before, and have been for a long time, so bad people are all over the place. Sabotage doesn't have to be massive like blowing up the White House or Congress to be effective. The so-called demonstrations by BLM in the Summer of Love put everyone on notice that peaceful existence wasn't a given, -that enforcing the law wasn't a given, -that some folks were exempted from punishment because they had friends in high places. Demonstrations are what you see on TV; selling you a better mousetrap. Riots are different; they intend to show rage and instill fear in the targets of rage, the world at large. Look at aerial maps of riot zones from '67 to 2019; you will see open land that has been bulldozed clean, but never rebuilt. That's the wages of not enforcing laws.
George Floyd was a low-life that certainly was going to die early because he indulged in the kind of lifestyle that invites self destruction. The situation was handled badly by a veteran bad cop being macho in front of some rookies who were really powerless until it was too late. Bad decisions on top of bad decisions on top of bad decisions equals bad outcomes. Surprise, surprise...
Letting in everyone who shows up at the border has gone badly in Europe, and it will here, too, and it seems so everywhere in the world. Sooner or later the sleeper cells will go to work and then we will need someone who is tough in office, -all offices. That's a long way off as we look forward now. There are apologists for every evil and stupid thing in the world, just look at the shows of unity with Hamas at our colleges! Our brightest, well-to-do progeny at top schools showing real, earnest ignorance supporting baby killers. These are the grandchildren of the free-love/druggie/SDS crowd from the 60s & 70s. What will their grandchildren bring to our future? How low can our collective morals sink, who would have believed 50 years ago what we have become today? Who would have believed 3 years ago how many collective, continuous bad decisions one President could make to take us from prosperity to an Argentine/Venezuelan economic course in record time?
