Currently our system for election is faulty at best and gives us only two real choices, neither seem vary appealing to many US citizens. The two party system needs to be changed. I suggest that every working person is taxed $.20 per year that they work. This money IS LEFT ALONE until the presidential election time. At election time the money is then pooled together and divided evenly amongst the candidates. However only a certain number of candidates can per allowed per election, and there can be no two candidates from the same party or an off-shoot of a party. The candidates then are given the money and not allowed to have outside contributions. This serves a multi-step solution. One, it teaches candidates how to budget wisely, or pick someone who can. Two, it reduces the amount of money spent in elections, money that couldve been used towards better projects, ie humanitarian. Finally, it serves to reduce the influence of foreign non political elements on the political system. Business doesn't want government interfering but they want a piece of the government. This can be applied to any elected position.
