This is Un-American in Every Way

Mod note: I don't give a rip whether you're a lefty, righty, or in betweeny. Just debate the topic, not the member. Personal attacks have no place here.

Oh, and from now on, any notes I make as mod will be in red.

Please don't make me make too many. I'd much rather discuss the issues.

So I did. Fixed it.

I don't read every post. Probably never will.

understandable and thanks.

trying to keep my nose clean. some days more difficult to manage than others. but I'm just a guest here so its just good manners to abide with the wises of our host(s?).

Who are you speaking to? I'll assume you're speaking to the initiator and not me. If by chance you are including me in your moderation, then go **** yourself. I didn't come here to get drawn into your drama. If you or someone doesn't like what I say then attack the post and not the poster. If you are the moderator then moderate and keep me out of your personal drama. I don't need moderation because I havent attacked any poster, but I have been attacked, so do you job fairly. Either ban me now or cut the crap. I'm not gonna play your game.

If your feelings were hurt then you need to find a new hobby. Politics isn't for the sensitive. Enough about you and me, get back to the topic. Moderator said so.

if this is true...

The military said having the cross on the chapel violated regulations

...then it shouldn't be there.

q for those of you who are familiar with Army chapels (not sure I've seen one in years if ever), do they sport crosses or other religiously significant displays ?

I would take issue with differing rules but if the regs say so, then the regs need to be followed. and if you take issue with the regs then let Capital Hill see that they get changed.

but complaints are meaningless.

I agree. Complaints are meaningless, but bringing this to light and discussing it is the first step to changing it. The rules need to be changed. Allowing a crescent, a star of David, and a cross don't bother me. They shouldn't bother any American. If it bothers anyone then I would just ignore them.

agreed. the threshold for offense is far too low.
