Yes.  Why do we feel compelled to vilify the opposition, to paint them as the obstacle between ourselves and the good life?  This country matured because of political diversity.  Now it sounds as if people would be happier if the opposition volunteered to walk off a cliff... and if people aren't willing to step forward, they'd be happy to lend a push.  If either side totally had their way, the country would be worse off for it.  Political give-and-take is healthier for everybody.  I hope people haven't lost sight of that.
