Wait...NYC's Communist Mayoral Candidate Applied to Columbia As a Black Man?​

It would be even more shocking if Zohran Mamdani weren’t abjectly insane. The hard left Democratic New York City mayoral candidate has an agenda that will essentially destroy the city, with actions to defund the police and install government-run grocery stores, to name a couple. He’s not a fan of Israel and is pretty much every horror you think of regarding the American Left. So, in keeping with that trend, are you shocked he tried to claim he was black when applying to Columbia University, because he did. Oh, I forgot—he also said he was Asian. Mamdani did not deny he did these things, and his explanation made for a good laugh (via NYT):



As he runs for mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani has made his identity as a Muslim immigrant of South Asian descent a key part of his appeal.

But as a high school senior in 2009, Mr. Mamdani, the Democratic nominee, claimed another label when he applied to Columbia University. Asked to identify his race, he checked a box that he was “Asian” but also “Black or African American,” according to internal data derived from a hack of Columbia University that was shared with The New York Times.

Columbia, like many elite universities, used a race-conscious affirmative action admissions program at the time. Reporting that his race was Black or African American in addition to Asian could have given an advantage to Mr. Mamdani, who was born in Uganda and spent his earliest years there.

In an interview on Thursday, Mr. Mamdani, 33, said he did not consider himself either Black or African American, but rather “an American who was born in Africa.” He said his answers on the college application were an attempt to represent his complex background given the limited choices before him, not to gain an upper hand in the admissions process. (He was not accepted at Columbia.)

“Even though these boxes are constraining, I wanted my college application to reflect who I was,” he added.

While neither Mr. Mamdani nor Columbia University could provide the template for the application form the college used at that time, a copy of it was archived online. Mr. Mamdani said he filled out all of his college applications in the same way.

It’s not going to sink Mamdani’s candidacy, but it’s yet another episode in which a leftist got exposed for pulling a racial hoax.

As everyone knows, Warren said she had Indian heritage, she took a DNA test and she did. Of course Mamdani can say he is African, because he was born in Africa, he is Asian because his genetic heritage is Indian. He is an American citizen, so he is qualified to run for office.. But none of this should be of any real importance to a voter, because they are voting for government policies.

My bad. Of course she found she was 1/1000th of a percent native American. Almost all Americans are. At least she parlayed her miniscule native American blood claim into tens of thousands of dollars in benefits for herself by tapping into the leftist government racial quota benefit schemes. Maybe Mamdani has even more black blood in him than Warren had Indian blood in her, but maybe not. At least Mamdani tried to tap into government racial quota benefits like Warren did, even though he failed, possibly because he did not claim to be a woman of the type promoted by Justice Jackson.

So, democrats claim Mamdani did not lie about being black because he was from Africa? Does that mean Asians born in Africa can also apply for benefits reserved for US Blacks?
 
Mamdani is not white and he has not applied for the mythical "benefits reserved for US Blacks". His race should not be of any importance to anyone except racists like you.

All I'm saying is that he applied for college admission as a black man in the same way Warren applied for admissions and positions as a Native American instead of a privileged white American for whatever reasons.

So fucking what? Warren was never hired because of her ancestry. She was hired for her intelligence and teaching and later some fool claimed that she was a "minority faculty" member. And Mumdani is also clearly a highly intelligent and competent guy.

She was not rich until she finished her education, you racist twit. Everything Elizabeth Warren has earned has been because she is very competent. Which has been recognized many times by various universities and by the voters of Massachusetts.

I have no doubt the privileged white woman was competent and intelligent, but I have no idea why she claimed to be Native American Indian any more than I know why Rachel Dolezal claimed to be black.
 
Elizabeth Warren is a great person, far, far smarter than you. Like most Oklahomans, she thought she had Indian ancetors and when she took a DNA test, she was correct. But that has nothing to do with her competence.

There is no reason to be obsessed about the gender or ancestry of anyone. I realize that for a fucking ignorant bigot like you, life is difficult when you don't know who to look down on, but educated people do not have that problem.

You misunderstand me. I'm not saying these Democrats were stupid or incompetent. I just don't know why they felt compelled to say things about themselves that were more untrue than true.

I believe Trump may have been trying to avoid Vietnam. In similar fashion, it appears Bill Clinton also tried to avoid Vietnam. On the other hand, Tim Walz avoided service in Afghanistan but then lied by claiming he went to Afghanistan as a US serviceman engaged in the fighting or peacekeeping there.

That is shameful and inexcusable.

VIetnam was an unwinnable war and an obvious lost cause from the start. There would have been no benefit for the people of the US even if they had won, but of course, they did not win and it was even worse. All who died in Vietnam died for nothing.
