It seems to me that this shooting was the result of some sneaky planning by Trump's handlers. They knew this guy had plans to travel to DC and go to the hotel where the banquet was scheduled.
He made his reservations for flight and the hotel, probably using his credit card, and then they allowed him to get close enough to squeeze off some shots. This plot pleased Trump, because Trump wants his ballroom and the Trumplings want the shutdown to end without making any concessions about masks and name badges for the ICEgoons.
I agree that the Iranians did not have nukes because the first Ayatollah did not want nukes. Iranians would have had nukes years ago if they had wanted them. No more difficult for Iranians than for Pakistanis or North Koreans.
