A typical bit of Biblical claptrap. NATIONS do not acknowledge or forget God. Only individual human beings can do such things. Should every country have an official religion? First, no nation can force any citizen or subject to believe or disbelieve in God or anything else. Nations that fight wars over religions have committed many atrocities.

The Hundred Years War was all about Catholicism vs Protestantism, the Napoleonic wars were in part about clericalism vs. anticlericalism. The Founding Fathers of our country refused to have an official religion. Massachusetts was originally Puritan, Pennsylvania was founded by Quakers, and I think that Maryland was officially Roman Catholic, but none of these were acceptable to the Founding Fathers and they were against any established religion.
