What's the end goal for health care.?
Let's see..
*Public option in senate is out
*Expanding medicare is out
*Still 24million un-insured
*No costs reduction - according to cbo
*No benefit for 3yrs
*Quality of health care - probably won't increase.
So what's the end goal. Why do it if most of what Obama wants isn't in there? Doesn't make sense.
That's why the republicans aren't voting for this. It does not make sense.
Just because liberals want another entitlement does not mean we should pass a crappy piece of legislation that does not do what it is intended to do.
Kinda of like picking out a car. you like to test drive, make sure it has good tires, maybe even a carfax report. No engine problems.
If not you could just walk onto a car lot and point to one wether it will actually provide you reliable comfortable transportation that's affordable.
