They always seem to be giving wingnut american leftists a forum or an award. The latest is an award to puerto rican actor Benicio del Toro in Stephen Soderbergh's latest addition to Liberal Distortion of History movie genre. From NR:
The award for Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival has gone to Benicio del Toro for his portrayal of the Marxist-Leninist revolutionary Che Guevara in Steven Soderbergh’s worshipful four-and-a-half-hour biopic of the charismatic thug. Mr. del Toro declared on accepting the award: “I’d like to dedicate this to the man himself, Che Guevara. . . . I wouldn’t be here without Che Guevara, and through all the awards the movie gets you’ll have to pay your respects to the man.” Let’s hope that some moviegoers will instead pay their respects to all the people who would be here if they had not been murdered by the “revolutionary tribunals” Guevara zealously supervised, and also to those who drowned or were shot while attempting to escape the oppressive hell-hole that Cuba became under the regime of Castro, Guevara, and their fellow thugs.
