We just finished a stellar weekend in the windy city. There were 49 shootings and 7 fatalities. This is all in only 2 days. Democrime mayor Lightfoot is really on top of crime, protecting her citizens.

So 60,000+ homeless in LA are happy? So retirees facing a huge unfunded liability in the Cal state retirement system are ecstatic? So wealthy people facing a huge tax increase can't wait? So those facing wild fires destroying their homes are overjoyed?
Elon Musk and Ben Shapiro have already boogied out of Cal to cleaner waters.
Gavin should wake up, look at the facts, smell what Rose's are left, and try telling the truth for a change.

Walter, right now neither party is taking care of the homeless very well. This is a topic that I feel should be part of each candidate's platform. But the debate will be "peaceful" protests and climate change and police brutality and mail in voting and systemic racism. But being homeless mean you can't vote so this will always be ignored.
In my mind there is no bigger priority than caring for those who can't take care of themselves. I am a member of a local club and we raise money for our local food bank. And I have a retarded cousin who has been institutionalized since the age of 5. I am a legal conservator for him and watch out for medical and housing issues. I try to stretch his funds to last each month.
Those who can't take care of themselves are more important to me than those who can take care of themselves.
Jesus said, "If you have done it to the least of these my brethren you have done it into me". This is one of the creeds I live by.

Seattle is one of the most dangerous cities to live in. You have one chance in 17 of being a crime victim each year. This is all crimes, from rape to murder to mugging to robbery.
Another big city run by Democrimers that cares more about protecting "peaceful" protests that protecting the citizens they vowed to serve.

In Portland mayor Teddy has competition. A gal named Sarah is leading him by 11 points in one poll for the mayoral election. And she is perfect to replace Teddy. She was photographed wearing a skirt with communist emblems.
So Teddy and Sarah both share a hatred for free enterprise and are both striving for a communist government and limited personal freedom.

In Portland the "peaceful" protestors toppled a statue of Lincoln and another of Roosevelt. This is on the eve of Columbus Day.
These anarchists want to bring down our government which is founded on personal freedom. In its place they want a socialist society with greatly limited personal freedom and greatly enhanced powers of government.
This is the real goal of the Harris and Biden ticket. And also the goal of the DNC and every politician with a "D" after their name.

Walter, since you seem to support socialism, look at debt numbers in socialist Europe. In many countries the per capita debt is huge and is unsustainable. Also remember the American revolution was a revolution to bring power to the people and take it away from government and kings. Europe slowly followed suit and dumped most kings. They do not have the personal freedom mentality of the US.
Have you forgotten what NAZI stands for : National Socialist Party.
WW2 took over 60,000,000 lives, all in the name of German socialism. After the war most Germans realized the error of their ways and built a powerful society built on personal freedom.
And let's not forget Venezuela. Twenty years ago they were the most prosperous country in S America. Today they are third world. Surrendering power to the government means the people have less freedom themselves.
The government that governs best governs least.

There is a second reason I think socialism is unsustainable. European Socialists are all proponents of political correctness. And PC requires one to put on blinders and ignore the truth.
PC : Islam is the religion of peace.
Truth : nothing could be further from the truth.
Islam is at war with itself and every other religion including atheism. Islam was born in war, rape, looting and human slavery. Those principles remain in place today. Most terrorists today are Islamists with the possible exception of BLM and Antifa which are socialist/communist.
And Socialist Europe through open their borders to Islamists. Angie in Germany thought she was going to get workers to build BMW's. Instead what she got was a swollen welfare roll, rape and crime soared, and Islamists will never assimilate into German society.
Surprise, surprise, surprise.
If the socialist Europeans had paid attention to the truth and not bowed to PC their national debt would be lower, European citizens would be safer, and not so far in debt.
