Hawaii Universal Child Health Care fails After 7 Mos

I should add that Oregon tried this a few years back. It put is so far in the hole after a year that we cut it way back and we continue to be in the hole but we do still give free medical to anyone poor enough

Well The most socialist state in our union tried univeral health care for the children of Hawaii and after 7 months they are calling it quits.

I wonder how many months Obama will try it nation wide before he says it wont work? That is if he wins (due to voter fraud)

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Didi FAUX Noise mention...."The Republican governor signed Keiki Care into law in 2007...." :p

"Hawaii lawmakers approved the health plan in 2007 as a way to ensure every child can get basic medical help. The Keiki (child) Care program aimed to cover every child from birth to 18 years old who didn't already have health insurance -- mostly immigrants and members of lower-income families.

State health officials argued that most of the children enrolled in the universal child care program previously had private health insurance, indicating that it was helping those who didn't need it."

Sounds like a typical Republican-hustle, to me.

It's no WONDER the state dropped it.

I notice that you laugh at children losing their health coverage... Socialists are like that.

I'm not going to ask why you think a Republican signing a bill, written by state Democrats, has any bearing on the programs failure, because I already know the answer... Its always a failure.

Now you can try to salvage your clown image by giving us an example of state-sponsored healthcare anywhere in the world that is not bankrupt... For extra Clown points, post it as a one-liner with a link.

Thank God for that ignore button :) I dont know how you do without it Gen

You are right though, any progam like this is doomed to fail. But why is this not more in the news. This program is one that covers kids something like the one obama talks about. You would think a fair media would be look at this and be talking about how realistic obamas plans are.

also I think its odd that Hawaii let this out right now. Why not hold off the news for a couple of more weeks. I guess they have faith that the media isnt going to touch it :)
