...for Ron Paul.

I know...I know...some of my friends on the Right will think me crazy and I know he won't win the nomination. And yeah, Paul has some views I disagree with, but of the four candidates he is the only true conservative. His views more closely match mine than the other three.

He has been a consistent conservative for a long long time. The other three are flip floppers and moderate progressives. I am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

I wonder, if Paul looked like Romney, would he win the nomination?

Good for you and no he would not.

You don't think the ladies will vote for the good looking candidate over the old and not so good looking candidate? I believe it has been shown that the candidate with the best hair, wins the female vote time and again. So, the candidate's views may not matter.

Nope. He loses on the message. Especially with the womenfolk.

I am shocked Gipper at who you voted for

But I guess I am glad you voted :)

Yeah, but if you look at the views of all the candidates, Paul more closely matches mine than the others. Yeah some of his views on foreign policy are out there and legalized drugs are too, but on all the other issues he is right.

I think he is the only one who will really reduce the size of government and put an end to big government and socialism. And get us back to abiding by the Constitution and the promotion of individual liberty and responsibility.

But he loads bills that he knows will pass with pork for his state then votes against it. When asked in the debate he said better we spend it at the state level than the federal.

I think he is a fake when it comes to the smaller government talk
Though I do agree with him on some other libertarian issues

I would think women are one of the only ones who would want to vote for him because of his message, no more war exc. Women often do not understand that war is sometimes needed.

I figure his other big group is the one who wants drugs legal

thats his only group : )

Really? He has consistently voted against all bills that enlarge government. He has a 26 year record that is very impressive. Yeah, he did vote for some thing to bring home the bacon to his district. But, for the most part, he is far better than the other three.

I could not vote for him even if he got the GOP nomination just based on his middle eastern policy and I think he does not like Israel and I just cant back anyone who I think wont back Israel

Washington was a great president but his foreign policy just doesn't work for this country. Thats why the only way I vote for him is if he's on the ballot vs Obama. But thats not going to happen.
