Well well... seems Obama has figured out hes screwed the pooch. Badlywants Congress to weigh in now and says it doesnt matter when action occurs. Its fun watching him squirm.
Its fun watching him squirm.
oh God is Kerry a buffoon or what ? no wonder BO picked him when hill walked. he loves to surround himself with people who make him seem smart.Lol....he and Kerry make a haughty pair.
Is that the goal of the military strike being contemplated, sending a message that we do have the stomach to respond, whether or not that response is effective? It is not a "bail out", it sends the same message as Obama just doing nothing. The only message that will be sent is that America doesn't have the stomach to respond when their interests are threatened/attacked.
no. just the cheapest way to try and get out of the corner BO painted himself into. and everyone knows it. kind of makes it stupider than just changing him mind which only seems flighty as opposed to this which demonstrates stupid and flighty. Is that the goal of the military strike being contemplated, sending a message that we do have the stomach to respond, whether or not that response is effective?
Leave it to the right bitch about Obama not doing anything...while saying they want him to not do anything...And of course if he does something will bitch about it...
To bitch about needing congress to give the ok, then bitch about asking congress for the ok.
I am glad you are enjoying the gassing of civilians. what ever you do, make sure you get your political shots in, and fuck worrying about human rights, national security or anything.
The President's speech just now was a brilliant political move. He not only advanced his agenda to attack the Assad regime, he also gave himself an out, should he choose to use it, by including the Congress in his decision to strike. If the Republican House votes not to approve an attack, our President can then, should he choose to do so, cancel his decision and announce he is bowing to the will of the people as represented by their elected representatives.
we have demonstrated that we will defend our interests, we are hit and miss already on things not really part of our interests (all overit in Libya, who knows on eqypt and total crapshoot in Syria). that whole post described how so. apples and oranges in a nutshell.
Didn't Bush ask for consent of Congress before invading Iraq? What's the difference?
Obama is just doing the same. IF THE republicans want intervention they must vote for and take the blame.
