    Let's have a think tank discussion about the issue of another stimulus package for main street.

    * For it, against it?
    * Why?
    * How much and to whom?
    * Intended/believed benefit to the economy?

    Anyone have strong opinions on this issue speak up!

    I concur. It seems our politicians are so busy buying votes that they aren't keeping track of the tab!

    It worked to an extent last time, but it is short term. The problem is most of the time once you might start to think about a a stimulus, it is already to late for it to make the difference.

    It illustrates the fatal flaw in the logic of Keynesian economics, it says the solution to recessions is to pump money into the economy, but what it ignores is that when the government does so, the government must first take money out of the economy to put it back in.
