I thought they were to be job one

focus lik a razor and all. I guess he meant he was going to se about killing just with heath takeover, cap-n-kill and now financial "reform" (funny how he worked against real reform when he was in Congress).

The U.S. needs major changes to its financial system so consumers are better protected, banks fortified and the economy safeguarded from sliding into another Depression, President Barack Obama said Saturday.
In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama told Congress to act quickly and pass "commonsense rules that will our allow markets to function fairly and freely while reining in the worst practices of the financial industry."

Expect jobs to disappear if Obama healthcare passes.
This will possibly bankrupt our nation because it demands so much liquid capital that doesn’t exist, even with increased taxes. It will result in printing more money, and leads us down a path of entitlements that can't be supported by the smaller private sector, in the long run.

A happy, productive, employed population is a hindrance.

Read, comprehend, research further, and remember....it is within this framework that Progressives operate...overwhelm and destroy a despised capitalistic system to make room for social and economic equality to be metted out at the end of a government gun.

"Fundamentally change America" should be enough of a clue for all but the most severely afflicted dull eyed sheep.

the obvious point was that Obama told America that he was going to focus on putting people back to work and has done NOTHNG and has gone on to fret about several other matters that will kill jobs and hurt everyone else.

why does he hate America so ?

Maybe your Mommy or Daddy (or, some fully-employed person, at home) could explain this, to you...

"The lower cost of benefits will allow employers to hire some 90,000 low-wage workers currently without jobs because they are currently priced out of the market. It also would pull one and a half million more workers out of low-wage low-benefit and into high-wage high-benefit jobs. Workers currently locked into jobs because they fear losing their health benefits would be able to move to entrepreneurial jobs, or simply work part time."

ccc

and Caterpillar alone will see a 100 million increase in their costs which will get addressed in job cuts.

if you want to gauge jobs effect, consult people who hire them. not people trying to justify something everyone knows is a disaster.

or just go outside and play and leave the growups alone to talk.

We HAVE to have jobs in order to pay soaring tax increases on everything. Next we will have thumb tax. How can the unemployed pay for mandatory insurance premiums? Guess the Depression Era "poor houses" will reappear. Why are the closed factories not opening back up for the American citizen to work there? As usual, Washington has the perverbial "cart before the horse" again. Yowza! If you are not rich, your opinion does not matter. America, where art thou?

Kind of like Pelosi said, with the free insurance they can afford to quit their jobs, and become artists.

The real point is that nobody can do anything about jobs, so the government is just trying to look like it is doing something.

The government can enact policies that harm the private sector.

MANY real jobs have permanently disappeared under Obama, and the American
standard of living is clearly declining.

Many jobs have left because we've lowered transport and telecommunication costs, so the US has to compete with other markets.

Welcome to economics.
