Will teddybear start WW III?

    Apparently, the US army is building a teddybear robot to carry wounded soldiers across the battlefield. It immediately made me think of the Ghostbusters film where they are attacked by a giant, evil looking, marsmellowman. Imagine the horrorscenarios that could follow, a friendly, even cuddly looking teddybear robot gone beserk in the heat of battle.....

    It says "The BEAR will initially be operated remotely, but will eventually have autonomous behavior software that will allow it to be controlled more easily."

    And there's a picture of a robot carrying a very uncomfortable looking soldier with it ;)

    could we be the generation that started World War III because of a malfunctioning teddybear?
