3 Black Kids beat up a white boy on the bus.Why this isnt a hate crime?

It's been reported by the local media that the three black teens tried to sell weed to the 13-year-old in a school restroom prior to the attack and he reported the drug incident to school officials. The bus attack was not closely related to the victim's race and it was drug-related violence.

The dispute began on July 9 when one of the three boys tried to sell the younger boy marijuana while the two were in a bathroom at their drop out prevention school, prompting the younger teen to notify school officials, according to WFLA.com.

Hate Crime? Police Investigating if Brutal Beating of White Man Was Race-Related

The question is ..... will these thugs be charged with a hate crime. I don't think there is any question about there being a racial motive in this case.

Although, some blacks are charge with hate crimes against whites .... it is not common.
