look you can make up stats, you must be so proud of yourself.
Pull your head out of the Liberal Parallel Universe every once and awhile and get in contact with reality.

After all who is known as the party of states rights? Republicans...
who is the party that went to war to say states did not have the right to .....have slaves, succeed, ext...republicans....
And notice How I did ask, I wounder how dems would do in the same poll...IE is it a Mississippi thing, or a republican Mississippi thing.
After all this is the south, where Alabama took laws against interracial marriage off the books..in 2000...
and in 1998 S. Carolina voted 62% to remove law against interracial marriage...IE 38% of the state still wanted it on the books ( no it was of course not enforced)
Take a poll of leftwingers. 95% of them will support state mandated racist discrimination against white people.
Since this was not about a primary race, it appears to me that the purpose was to show that Mississippi Republicans were somehow more racist than other groups.
What did you think the purpose of the poll was?
Depending what you mean by leftwingers you might be right.
But CBS reports that 67% of Democrats favor state mandated racist discrimination against white people.
75% of liberals support it.
59% of liberal whites support it.
72% of blacks
76% of liberal blacks.
I couldn't find any data for groups called socialists, communists, left, leftists, or leftwingers so I can't confirm or deny your original statement.
Notice that I did not tell you what the percent of conservatives who supported it were just so I could present the information the same way the pollsters did. I also did not want anyone to see the original questions so there is no way for you to find it directly from what I said.
from what I saw of it, the primary was the main thing I saw.
?? What primary?
Is there half of an interracial couple running for office in Mississippi?
the majority of the questions seems to be about who they wanted for republican candidate for President...and with a election less then 4 years away you know they are going to already be polling.
I keep trying to pull of the poll itself but its a pdf and my sytem keeps crashing...most of yesterday I could not even get my computer to boot at first grrrr
Black & White shouldnt mix! It should be banned. Look at Muslim nations,,What happens if an Islamic woman marries a Jew? This is what the penalty is
STONED TO DEATH!
So, you're in favor of stoning interracial couples to death. Nice.

The firm also conducted a separate poll of non-Republican voters, asking them the same question about interracial marriage. Those results are expected to be released in the coming weeks, along with those from another PPP poll asking Mississippi voters whether they think the right side -- the North or South -- won the Civil War.
