After all this is the south, where Alabama took laws against interracial marriage off the books..in 2000...

75% of liberals support it.

The term "leftwinger" is not in the liberal media lexicon - they simply don't use it, but substitute "liberal" for people who should be termed leftwing, like eg obozo.

the majority of the questions seems to be about who they wanted for republican candidate for President...and with a election less then 4 years away you know they are going to already be polling.

After visiting the website for Public Policy Polling, I have no choice but to conclude that its main purpose is to conduct hatchet jobs on Republicans.

The firm also conducted a separate poll of non-Republican voters, asking them the same question about interracial marriage. Those results are expected to be released in the coming weeks, along with those from another PPP poll asking Mississippi voters whether they think the right side -- the North or South -- won the Civil War.

The seperate poll of non-Republican voters in Mississippi did not ask the interracial marraige question. There is a poll of Southern sociological opinions that asks the Civil War question and asks voters of all parties from NC and GA the interracial marraige question, but curiously omits that question from the poll of MS voters.

Here is a list of all polls conducted by PPP from their own website. I found so many problems with their methods that I'm not even going to start picking them apart. Read the poll questions, read the demographic data at the end of the polls, and then judge for yourself.

There are two types of polling. The real polls that politicians and some others use in order to properly gauge public opinion before they craft their message, and the type that is released to the public in order to sway public opinion. PPP clearly produces the second type of poll.
