"60 Minutes"; This Evening

.
??????????
.
CBS just pulled down a 60 Minutes episode that dealt with exposing what immigrants faced in CECOT.
.
.
.
Gee.....whatta big surprise.....
.
"Many critics saw the settlement as a way to appease Trump amid the Paramount-Skydance merger, which required government approval. The merger went through earlier this year, and since then, Paramount-Skydance CEO David Ellison has made several changes, including hiring The Free Press‘ Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief of CBS News.
.
In April, longtime 60 Minutes executive producer Bill Owens announced his resignation from the program, citing pressure on his journalistic independence. This was followed by the resignation of former CBS News CEO Wendy McMahon in May."

Lies generate big bucks in the media but they do not help people.

"CBS News was dealing with internal and external uproar on Monday after it pulled at the last minute an investigation for its flagship 60 Minutes show into the harsh prison in El Salvador where the Trump administration deported hundreds of Venezuelans from the US earlier this year.
.
The episode about the Cecot mega-prison was
due to air on Sunday night. However, in an “editors note posted on X late that afternoon, the broadcaster’s official account announced that “the lineup for tonight’s edition of 60 Minutes has been updated. Our report ‘Inside Cecot’ will air in a future broadcast.”
.

Outrage followed, including from the key correspondent on the planned segment, Sharyn Alfonsi. She had interviewed some of those recently released about the “brutal and torturous” prison conditions. The Paramount Plus website had said on Sunday the segment was scheduled to air at 7.30pm ET that evening."

Democrats and lefties had to look away from images of gangsters in prison in spite of everything they and their lawyers and judges could do to stop the Trump administration from sending the violent felons there.

Not one of the men sent to CECOT had a hearing, which they were entitled to. Most of them are innocent of anything other than traffic tickets. And the treatment at CECOT was torture and wrong.

None of the victims of fascist democrat J-sixers were given fair hearings, due process, comfortable or tolerable living conditions in DC jail cells, or compassion from anti-republican jailers.

The living conditions for January 6 defendants in detention are described as "outrageous" and "designed to break you down." Many prisoners report being deprived of basic necessities, including access to hygiene and family visits, and are subjected to solitary confinement for extended periods. Conditions have been reported to include cold air in cells, poor sanitation, and lack of medical care. Some prisoners have expressed fears of health risks and have described their living spaces as "cold damp floors" with visible mold and pests.

They were treated in the usual way, which many ave been bad, but nowhere as bad as the victims of Shitshizpants who were sent off to CECOT with no hearing or trial whatever.

Trump and Noem are very fond of cruelty and have said so publicly and often.
