By "morality is not possible", I mean that there is nothing that Biden can do that will divert Netanyahu from his unworkable plan to simultaneously exterminate Hamas and get the hostages back. Cutting aid to Israel will result in a few extremely obsessed, extremely wealthy Jews to withhold campaign donations to the Democrats, or perhaps to redirect them to Trump. Netanyahu has amassed enough weapons to last way beyond the election.

So there is nothing that any American president can do to force Israel to abandon this war.

If someone is a dangerous criminal that Putin values then we shouldn’t trade them off for some dumb ass who went over there while also overriding the justice of them staying in prison here where they belong. These are people rightfully serving long sentences for the highest crimes in our nation and are still a threat to the world if freed. I know that Russia’s prisoners are more like hostages. But there’s got to be a better way.
