Aurora, Colorado--Why People Want Conceal & Carry Laws

BTW--Just how craven was it when Christain Bale goes to Aurora.
Did the well known haughty and cold misanthrope REALLY give-a-shit about the dead there--
or was he there to boost some box office for the studio.

I am skeptical, myself.

his % stands in the balance of course but I'm willing to believe he really is upset for the violence.

Gun culture thrives in U.S. despite cinema massacre

AURORA, Colo —
A girl aged five or six tries out a rifle in an Aurora gunshop, oblivious to Friday’s massacre in this Colorado town. “Honey, it’s too big for you, we will find you another,” says her mother.

This is a normal scene in the U.S. heartland where it takes more than a few mass shootings to drive a wedge between patriotic Americans and their right to bear arms, as enshrined in the Second Amendment of the Constitution.

One argument brandished by diehard supporters of gun rights is that if the citizenry is armed, crazed gunmen like alleged Aurora shooter James Holmes will be taken down before they claim so many lives.

“If I were there, I would have killed him,” and “Guns don’t kill people, people do,” are popular refrains.

Speaking after a gunman, presumed to be Holmes, shot dead 12 people and wounded 58 others in a packed Aurora cinema, John Oberly, a 51-year-old rugby coach, told AFP it was not the right to bear arms that created the problem.

“If I had been there, I would have stopped some damage,” he said. “In fact, if anybody had been carrying a gun, they may have stopped some of the damage.”

President Barack Obama’s Republican challenger in November elections, Mitt Romney, reiterated his strong support for the Second Amendment as he stressed on Monday that now was not the time to work on new gun legislation.

“With emotions so high right now, this is really not a time to be talking about the politics associated with what happened in Aurora,” he said.

Let "gun control" people stop the violence in the inner cities.
Like 3-time Loser laws--enforced like IRS laws.
Gun violations will count as TWO strikes.

If too many young people go to internment camps--FINE.
Let them earn their way out.

When they do--come back and ask the rest of us to listen when they have something to say.
Meanwhile we will pack to defend against the aforementioned.

guess what, the people shot I bet really where happy...and don't give a shit what you think the motives are.

what would have stopped even more...was if he did not have a gun,

YOu can have a conceal and Carry gun there..I know I have 2 freinds a few miles away who both have them...But unless we want everyone to piss there pants evrytime they walk out the door and have to bring a gun...it does not matter...Also you would have to give up business's right to say they don't want them.

Plus people like to think, O man if I was there I would have taken him out if I had my gun....But of course its easy to say when you don't have a guy with a 100 round clip unloading into Chaos...Most would not even know who to shoot or would end up shooting the wrong person...Or you have 2 people both have guns and one thinks the other guy with the gun is with the one who starting shooting...and shoots him.

Its just a little Fantasy land for gun nuts...

Your logic is simply..... mindboggling! Your argument is based on an ssumption that nobody who'd have had a gun in the theater would have known how to use it??? Why put a seatbelt in your automobile? Perhaps you wouldn't know how to use it? Why drill for oil now if it would take 10 years to actually get it and refine it?... so you'd HAVE oil in 10 years! Even if there was only 1 chance in 10 that some of those murders could have been avoided by a gunshot to the shooter's head, you'd rather we leave the guns at home so we'd be sure he'd kill as many as possible. There is no pleasant word in the English language for "logic" like yours!

Ever walk into a convenience store in a so-so meighborhood for a quick item?
Trust me--there was a gun right under the counter--aimed at you--if need be.
If run by Koreans--consider it an iron-clad guarantee!

Not only that, but our lib brainwashed buddy fails to educate himself on the issue...We just saw the old man successful stop two robbers with a gun and the video was posted here. Yet, our buddy failed to learn from it. The use of guns by law abiding citizens PREVENTS crime from occurring and this happens numerous times every day in this country. Not to know this is proof he is terribly uninformed....much like that idiot mayor in NYC.

He like most libs gets his news from solely liberal sources. So, he would not know the truth.

there was no one there who knew how t use one...and they have the legal right to do it...
I guess you think evryone has some kind of SEAL training before they get to have a gun. you go sit in a theater...you have a loaded pistol in your jacket..I will have a ak-47 with 100 round clip and chemical bombs....lets see who wins....Good luck.

It simply depends on who hits the other one first.
It works that way wherever you are.
In war--or in peace--or in a theater or a Chick-Fil-A.
Trust me on this.
