Chemical attack in Syria

As usual, there are a certain number of people who seem to think they know all, and yet demonstrate they know very little, and will call one a "hater" if they point out the obvious lies of Trump.

In 2013 the same kinds of pictures of dead children, and others, were splattered all over the news. Yet Trump was not "moved" by these pictures, and neither were the Republicans. And both told Obama not to intervene, and the Republicans would not give Obama the authority to bomb. Perhaps Obama should have violated the Constitution like Trump did.

Since 2013 there have been numerous pictures of children dying trying to escape the killing fields in Syria, and even one picture widely distributed showing a child that had drowned when the smugglers boat sank. And what was the response of the right, and Trump? ban Muslims from entering the US. In other words, let them die. In fact, that was the attitude of Trump until he found he could use this tragedy to his own benefit. The right called it "wag the dog" when it was Clinton bombing Serbia.

Does anyone know what the "National Security Interest" was that justified this attack? Does anyone know why there are no plans to bomb, or invade, No. Korea which is obviously a threat to our national security? Does anyone know what comes next?

What comes next:

The Russians will rant and hoot over the US attacking its ally, but they'll get over it.

Syria will continue to be a hellhole.

Assad will probably not launch another gas attack, as he doesn't want to lose more planes, but he could. He'll kill his citizens with guns and bombs instead, and that will be OK.

Who will win the battle in Syria is anyone's guess. Assad? ISIS? Maybe Russia will take it over. That last would probably be the best of a lot of bad outcomes.

I think they learned their lesson on take it over. It's a civil war. No good outcome.

Syria is still flying its military aircraft:

Less than 24 hours after two US Navy destroyers pulled up to Syria's Mediterranean coast and let fly a blistering salvo of 59 cruise missiles, Syrian warplanes took off from the damaged air base targeted by the strike, according to the Syrian Human Rights Observatory.

The US strike, retaliation for a chemical attack in northeastern Syria that killed at least 80 people earlier this week, targeted "aircraft, hardened aircraft shelters, petroleum and logistical storage, ammunition supply bunkers, air defense systems, and radars" at Shayrat air base, according to a Pentagon statement.

But Syria and its Russian backers have many air bases and lots of military infrastructure in the country.

Well it was the only airport for m ilitary aircraft so until it gets rebuilt he'll have to throw the sarin.
Not intended to end the civil war. Just be more civil about it.

You didn't hear, did you?
There was NO DAMAGE to the runways, and within less than 24 hours, planes were flying in and out of that airport!

Accomplished NOTHING except a very expensive "publicity stunt" for Trump, a deeper hole in the US budge, and a few more hundreds of thousand dollars in his coffers, as he is a big stock holder in the company that makes Tomahawk missiles!

"Trump went with the wrong weaponry when he ordered the Tomahawk attack (his military advisers would have explained this to him), and he used the missiles merely put on a show for TV viewers at home, rather than doing any real damage. In other words Trump just set a bunch of Tomahawk missiles on fire which, according to a recent Defense Department report (link), may have been worth as much as $93.8 million in total. Why would he do this? Well, he does own shares of stock in the company that makes the Tomahawks."

Donald Trump owns stock in the Tomahawk missiles he used in Syria ...

kinda fucked up on both points then I guess.
Statement would have been to kill Assad
Not trying to do that.
Planes require maintenance, ammo, fuel and air traffic control which were all heavily damaged. You can fly the planes but if you don't keep them up they fall out of the sky.
This was not shock and awe, it was wagging the finger and telling him no more of that.

Come on, doggie! It was a huge set up. . .for three reasons:

One, it was a distraction from the criminal investigation
Two, it gave the "impression" that there was nothing going on between Putin and Trump. . .which is obviously wrong
Three, the tax payers lost a LOT of money for nothing. . .but Trump MADE a lot of money since he owns stocks in Rhayton (sp?)

Don't tell Dog about Russian support. And whatever you do don't tell him about Syrian oil, and refineries.
