How can we expand democracy? The people are highly misunderstoond in America, and in no way does the government's beliefs and principles repersent that of the people, therefore, what can be done to ensure the validity of popular soverignty? The people should have an outlet to diffuse their true beliefs, not just their reactions. A means to overturn decisions made by the senate and/or executive. We should all have a say in regards to the system we live in and aknowledging minimal efforts for change and little show of improvement, the ineffective, conservative-ruled republic we live in is revealed.

If the people reveal a higher moral standard than the government, the rest of the world may have a different, more positive opinion in regards to the virtue of our nation. If we articulate our needs as the people, promoting peace by respecting other cultures of the world it may and in all likelihood will contribute to the peace-making process.
