I in no way gloat about it. I merely stated if replaced for any reason, it won't be with anyone decent. However, I can remember the universal choirs of sarcastic taunts after a certain radio talk show host revealed he was going deaf. Oddly, he isn't in public office, nor did he drive off a bridge with an underage intern in his car, and stumble home without so much as an investigate or charges.

I am very much with Libsmasher on this one. Wishing someone to be a vegetable is crass and uncalled for, regardless of what one thinks of his politics.
I despise the politics of plenty of people, but would never wish ill health to them. Fortunately it doesnt appear to be a stroke. Doctors are optomistic he will make a recovery.

I concur. Of all the Kennedy's that got to live, why was it him? JFK, or maybe even RFK, would have been better suitors for that position.
