It is not at all clear why the US should go to the Moon this time. Why send humans into space when more can be found using robots? I am all for students needing more attention to the sciences, especially since the number of foreign students has dropped like the proverbial lead balloon.

Well,yes. The Defense Department asks Raytheon to build them weapons and the fool things cost $200,000 a pop and then we discover that Iran can just send up a $2000 drone and they destroy it with a super expensive weapon, making $100,000 in profit for Raytheon. It really is all about the $$$.
