This excerpt is from an interview with Tom Harkin (Iowa) Democrat
He explained: "On one side is health care as a privilege. On the other side is health care as a right. With these votes, with the vote that we'll take before Christmas, we will cross that line finally and say that health care is a right of all Americans."
Health care is not a right or a privilege. It is a product. It can be considered goods and services. But not a right or privilege.
Rights can be explained as:
The right to life - to pursue our own happiness.
The right to be free and to be un-oppressed by our government.
The right to choose where you live and work
The right to practice or not practice any religion you choose.
Health care is a commodity, a product, a service. It's that simple.
We all need many products to live. Housing, food, clothing, and healthcare among others. Just because we need these products and services does not make it a right.
When is enough going to be enough?
How come the people in Washington don't know the difference?
2010 they must be voted out.
