This excerpt is from an interview with Tom Harkin (Iowa) Democrat

He explained: "On one side is health care as a privilege. On the other side is health care as a right. With these votes, with the vote that we'll take before Christmas, we will cross that line finally and say that health care is a right of all Americans."

Health care is not a right or a privilege. It is a product. It can be considered goods and services. But not a right or privilege.

Rights can be explained as:

The right to life - to pursue our own happiness.
The right to be free and to be un-oppressed by our government.
The right to choose where you live and work
The right to practice or not practice any religion you choose.

Health care is a commodity, a product, a service. It's that simple.

We all need many products to live. Housing, food, clothing, and healthcare among others. Just because we need these products and services does not make it a right.

When is enough going to be enough?
How come the people in Washington don't know the difference?

2010 they must be voted out.

Of COURSE 'HEALTH CARE " is not a "RIGHT", it is a TOOL used by crooked politicians to enslave the citizens ,
To TIGER WOODS PURCHASING SEX and TROJANS IS A RIGHT!!
Senator Nelson of FLORIDA seemingly agrees with that !

You're ridiculous.

Look at your first "right"... The right to life - to pursue our own happiness.

People are dieing DUE TO LACK OF HEALTHCARE. Those Americans are neither living nor pursuing happiness.

What will happen is people will remember that when you were in power you did nothing to try and help this huge problem and when the Democrats did you obstructed and nothing else.

Soon this Bill will be signed and if you believe Americans will be upset that they can no longer be denied coverage for a preexisting condition... you head on and fool yourself with that.

It's easier for you to lie to yourself than to grab a mop and try to fix any of the messes you created.

click on to blow up...

You have not proven that it is a right? It is merely a good/service. The fact that some people need more health care or less health care does not make it more than a commodity.

That's the problem with the country in whole. The progressives believes that healthcare is a right, that a babysitter is a right, that getting paid to have babies is a right, that owining a house is a right.

Our economy is collapsing because of the progressive way of thinking. Everyone cannot demand everything and say it is a right.

Being alive and having the ability to choose is a right.

Needing health care or a house is a by product of living.

Many of the people covered will be covered by medicare and medicaid, which already reject more people for pre-existing conditions than insurance companies. LOOK IT UP!!!!

So the reality will be is more people will be denied coverage not less.
