Is anybody thinking about using solar power in their home? if so how must do they cost?

I looked into using photoelectric cells on my roof. They look like shiny shingles. For enough of them to have a real effect on my electric bill I was looking about about 15 thousand dollars. My state would have given me a tax break but it would have taken a very long time to earn back even half of the expense.
