It's ironic you should mention about presidents respecting the courts when Trump has no such talents. He doesn't respect anything.

Obama took it upon himself to declare that the Shah's money that had been tied up in US courts for decades belonged to the Iranian terrorists who overthrew the Shah, but he had no right to settle the issue outside the SCOTUS that settled the issue differently less than 2 months later.

Incidentally. It was Obama and other great powers that brokered the deal to stop nuclear proliferation in Iran. Not only was it clever when he used their money to secure it, they sign a deal to do nothing for ten years. As you will recall, there was nothing until Trump came along and destroyed that agreement not because it was wrong but because he want complete destruction of anything Obama did.

Obama proved his stupidity and incompetence by giving billions of US taxpayer dollars to Iran thinking that Iran would honor their resultant promise to halt efforts to produce nuclear weapons.
