Worker unions must be abolished. They cause nothing but anguish and distort the price the market puts on labor. They cause inflation and cripple some of the world's greatest corporations such as GM. If unions were prohibited then the free-market would function better and the standard of living would increase.
The only useful purpose of a union that should be retained is liability insurance e.g if you are a teacher and are accused of assault on a student the union will cover legal costs. Otherwise unions should be disbanded!

Agreed. There was a time when unions had a legitimate purpose but that time has long passed away and today unions are primarily concerned with growing union political power. They foster laziness and mediocrity as can be seen in any union. I would defy anyone to point out a union in which anything less than excellence is simply not tolerated.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers skippy

I.B.E.W. The BEST Electricians in the WORLD

most respected best trained they accept nothing less than excellence

I totally agree - it's time to bring back the sweatshops of old :)

So we lost 12 minors in the Sego disaster...drop in the bucket - who needs unions to enforce safety? It just costs the corperations money damnit!

Ah the good old days....

There are a lot of problems with labor unions but legislating them out of existence is not the solution.

The solution is to not give them any special favoritism through legislation so
that they will fade away all on their own. TDhe free market can determine the need for unions or not if left to its own.

They served their purpose once but are largely obsolete now.

As soon as the workers start agreeing with aboloshing unions you know the government is increasing its hold on the people, and they don't even realise, they accept it readily.
