Hamas has rejected a cease fire as they refuse to release the hostages if there are even any alive. They do not want peace they want war.. They have publicy said they will commit another oct 7 again and they openly want Israel destroyed. They are well known for breaking cesae fire and have several time. They want other Muslim nations and terror groups to come to their aide and that was the entire point of oct 7 attack.

If Mexico cartels did this in the usa we would send our military after them . But all Muslims and a lot od liberal idiots feel they have no right to defend themself .

This is why I hate Biden. He’s given republicans something feel happy about (which usually involves oppressing poor people) and now that he’s putting his foot down a little (at least in words not policy) they’re using it against him. And progressives have already written him off for all his genocide supporting ways. He’s done this November. Let this be a lesson. You must pick a side and that’s what you’ll have to stick with. This is going to be his legacy. Losing to a man he once beat because he was sucker for the status quo.

There are fewer situations more difficult to resolve than hostage taking, because the hostage takers can say that any attempt to lay siege to their location will cause them to kill the hostages.

And of course, Israel says that its goal is to exterminate all of Hamas, so it makes good sense for Hamas to keep the hostages. They certainly have more and better leverage if they have hostages than if they turn them over.
