Purpose of the United Nations

I hate the UN and giving it any money. I wished it would move somewhere else and we dropped out of it.

It's a joke.

As usual you distort the facts. The UN has achieved a resolution to end Chemical weapons in Syria. There have also been overtones to Iran who have agree to abide by resolutions against development a nuclear weapons. This has been a great achievement under Australia Presidency of the UN Security Council

Auz....please tell me that you can't be that naïve.

The Communist Takeover Of America - 45 Declared Goals

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

You realize that the "agreement" was struck between the US and Russia before anything was done at the UN. And further, it should be noted -- what is the purpose here? To pass a resolution or to eliminate chemical weapon stockpiles in Syria?

Iran has always said that their nuclear program is peaceful....so what breakthrough are we talking about here? There has been little if anything done at the UNSC that matters in either of these regards.

Montco poisoning case goes back to Supreme Court

The U.S. Justice Department, meanwhile, defends Bond's prosecution, saying she and others like her can and should be prosecuted alongside more dangerous terrorists. They claim Supreme Court precedent paved the way for Congress to supersede state jurisdiction when it comes to enforcing a treaty. http://articles.philly.com/2013-11-06/news/43696848_1_clifford-bond-myrlinda-haynes-carol-anne-bond
