Is oil the real reason for the Iraq war?

I'm assuming that you are making this post because you think that our President's history in the oil industry will make him want to go to war to help oil cmpanies. I've never understood the logic behind this way of thinking. George W. Bush did have a background in the oil industry, but if you remember, all of his ventures in this business failed. If I was run out of business by bigger companies, I wouldn't in a huge hurry to go out of my way to help those companies. I would love for someone to try to give me a legitimate reason for why they think this war is about oil, and please, try to give me something other than George W. Bush being an "oil man."
