Not A god damn word about Heathcare. Were in a heathcare crises that needs to be solved. All i see in TV ads is this healthcare called SHAPP. SHAPP Is for kids whos families are poor and on welfare who cant get healtcare unless congress approves it. WE DON NEED SHAPP!! I dont want black poor kids getting free health care when the rest of us are paying premiums from Private insurance companies. If Black kids want insurance go tell their parents GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS AND GET A JOB!!! Those Candidates should be be focusing on health care for everyone. Get a system like CANADA HAS! If youre sick and you need to go to a doctor in canada you dont need to fill out your insurance infomation. I suggest everyone to watch the movie "" JOHN Q"" John Q is about he took the hospital hostage cause the admins wouldnt put his sons name on a donar list. His son has an enlarged heart and he didnt have proper insurance to put his sons name on a donars list cause he had an HMO. HMOs dont pay for tests when you go to your doctor for a check up.Heres how an HMO works. Suppose you go to your doctor right? And He checks you out,,But your Doctor found one tiny bit thing wrong with you,,Hes gonna tell you ,,Ill be right back,,Then Heb goes to the nurses station and sees what kind of Insurance you have,,If he sees youre on an HMO He`ll just close that folder and come back in the room and tell you " Youre Fine" And when Christmas comes your doctor will receive A BIG FAT BOUNS CHRISTMAS CHECK From your HMO Provider just for keeping his mouth shut. And 6 Months down the road you suffer from an Heart attack. So whos the real crooks? THE HMO INSURANCE!!! Companies only Offer HMOs to you when you work there in less then 5 years on the job. Thats why we need a health care system like CANADA!!!

Good. Healthcare shouldn't be a federal/executive issue.

What I find more telling is how the phrase "Islamic terrorism" is yet to be used in the Democratic debates. Goes all the way back to Sun Tzu -- "know thy enemy."

It should be an issue. Thats why we have lawyers like John Edwards who would sue Doctors right out of private pratice cause of their tied up business with the HMO insurance providers. If i was running for president heres how i solve this problem

1. Put Fees on Doctors, Like you do to drivers who own cars, Like a Private Practice Federal Medical Registration Fee which cost $1,000 a year, State and County or City Private Medical Building Permit. Federal and State Medical License. And Malpractice Insurance. That money will goes towards people who cant afford private insurance. If Doctors dont like it they can always choose to work in the hospital and not pay those private practice fees. Just like you can tell people if you dont wanna pay those stupid things to drive a car then take public transportation. And If you make over $65,000 a year You dont quilify for free insurance. Thats how id solve health care for the poor and middle class people.

If you do not have healthcare its not my problem, as you say, get off your ass and get a job. Stop bothering me about it. Emergency room visits at public hospitals are free for everyone, and they cannot turn you away, if you cant afford anything else, go there.

Canada has a system of free healthcare, but they are also taxed bigtime for it, and its not very good. (ever wonder why those who can come to the US for treatments?) I lived a summer in Canada, and when someone was hurt they had to ride 4 hours to the closest hospital that accepted their "insurance", they couldnt simply ride down the street for it.

Also, if you look at the numbers that these candidates are screaming about when talking about the "healthcare' crisis you would see that 3/4 of the people that are included are young people just starting out who typically never need health insurance anyway. And for the super poor, they can simply goto an emergency and receive free treatment anyway at any public hospital, there is no major healthcare crisis and people would have you believe.

40 MILLION PEOPLE Are UNINSURED 40 MILLION!!! And Mostly are poor and Middle income people. Thats why if you put Taxes and fees on the Doctors just like you put Taxes & Fees on Auto Drivers who own cars you might cut that down in half.

And of those 40 Million how many are young? Or just starting out, and the types who typically do not need insurance? And if the majority of them are poor, who cares, because they already are entitled to free care at any public hospital emergency room. I say again, that 40 million number that politicians love to scream about is grossly inflated. The healthcare crisis is not as bad as you have been lead to believe.

You are right there. The vast majority of that 40 million are young, single adults who could get health insurance through their work but choose not to buy in because they see themselves as young and healty and prefer to keep the money. A large chunk of the remainder are wealthy who are self insured. The number who want insurance but can't buy it because it is just too expensive is a small fraction of that 40 million and they would be no better off if we had a socialised medical system.

In this case, liberals don't want better medicine, or a better system, they simply want to spread the misery around equally to everyone.

Look closely behind the Census Bureau numbers of the uninsured, now estimated at 47 million, or 15.8 percent of the population...
Analysis of data from earlier Census Bureau and other government reports shows that roughly 7 million are illegal immigrants; roughly 9 million are persons on Medicaid; 3.5 million are persons already eligible for government health programs; and approximately 20 million have, or live, in families with incomes greater than twice the federal poverty level, or $41,300 for a family of four.
