RIP; Coal!!!

When are we going to end using corn as a energy source? Ethanol is not green at all using it as an energy source raises the cost of corn worldwide 10-25%. It is immoral!

Corn-based ethanol, which for years has been mixed in huge quantities into gasoline sold at U.S. pumps, is likely a much bigger contributor to global warming than straight gasoline, according to a study published Monday.

Normalizing corn price impacts by the change in corn ethanol volume, we find that each billion gallon expansion in ethanol production yields a 2-3 percent increase in corn prices on average across studies.

coal is responsible for a huge amount of power generation world wide not to mention use in other areas
World Coal Consumption
The world consumes 8,561,852,178 tons (short tons, st) of coal per year as of the year 2016. The world consumes 1,147,083 cubic feet of coal per capita every year (based on the 2016 world population of 7,464,022,049 people) or 3,143 cubic feet per capita per day.

we are a long way off from ending coal use when your talking almost 9 billion short tons used a year .
The far left nu bars hate it and frankly it is dirty but it is plentiful and cheap, so until solar and wind and fission become realistic for people to use . I would love o see cold fusion developed and the ability to store solar power with out the use of conventional battery's which wear out and are very expensive to replace.
Also oil can be extracted from coal

Coal will be a major energy source for 2/3 of the world for the next 100 years.

We have by far the largest coal reserves in the world, almost equal to China and Russia combined. Why would we not want to use that coal and create jobs here by selling it to the developing world? Shocking how libtard policies are harmful to the world's poor but always beneficial to China.

We should be doing what China has been doing and building coal plants around the world.

Indeed it will , technology for alternative power sources are really just in the infancy of development . As of now it would cost a amazing amount of money to convert to alternative sources.
But as panels for solar get more efferent and durable and cheaper and storage for power like a power wall become cheaper and more powerful and long lived we will slowly switch over. I my self want to see more development of cold fusion as a power source I do think it can be done . But coal can be used for a lot including oil . and will be with us for a long time to some degree
