So what? The reality is that for centuries the Somalis had fished off their shores, but factory ships of Russian and other countries overfished the waters, and it was no longer possible to make a living fishing, so some of the fishermen took up piracy. The US intervened to subdue the pirates, and the Somali economy was wrecked and several rival factions overthrew the Somali government. There has been a civil war in Somalia
Somalia was established in 1960 by unifying the former Italian colony of Somalia with the British colony of Somaliland. Of course, Somalia was an ancient nation before the Italians, the British and the French divided it up into three areas.

Bill Clinton was misguided, and the whole Somali operation ha bee mishandled by the Somali as well as the US and many other countries from outside Africa. The purpose of Clinton's intervention was NOT to kill the father of your babysitter, contrary to what you believe.

If you were in any way clever, you could find out about the history of Somalia online. But we all know how zealously you enjoy your near total ignorance of history.
