The Night They Dumbed Our Country Down

I would bet good money that if you asked 99% of people on the street, not a single one could articulate anything Romney has actually "flip flopped" on.

You're kidding, right?

He was a registered Independent before he became a Republican

How about health care?

How about abortion rights?

How about (as a very recent exemple) the Ohio Union issue?

You are mistaken OWS for the tea party! They do know how to spell, most of them are educated (with big outstanding student loans), and they are a diverse crowd. I haven't even seen a gun (if I had...I bet the police would not have hesitated to pull out THEIR weapons!).

No...most people are idiots.

So what? So was I. How is that "flip flopping"?

How about health care?

Romney has said all along that States can pursue these solutions, but a massive federal program is not the same as that...that is consistent with a state's rights approach.

How about abortion rights?

Ok, he changed his mind on an issue. I can accept this.

How about (as a very recent exemple) the Ohio Union issue?

He at first said:"I am not speaking about the particular ballot issues," Romney said, only after repeated questions from reporters. "Those are up to the people of Ohio. But I certainly support the efforts of the governor to reign in the scale of government. I am not terribly familiar with the two ballot initiatives. But I am certainly supportive of the Republican Party's efforts here."

Now he supports it fully. It really sounds like he was unfamiliar. I think he should have stayed out of it, but he didn't. It does not sound like a flip flop to find about the legislation before commenting on it.

If you are serious about this statement, it reflects quite poorly on you.

I'm kind of glad that, suddenly, so many of you have become Romney supporters!

As I said 2 to 3 months ago, he is the only viable candidate among the dreadful GOP line up (Paul would have been too, but he is too honest for the GOP).

And. . .I think if he was elected President, he would be a centrist, pretty much like Obama, so it would be the best of all world. . .if Obama doesn't get re-elected, which is still my preference.

I don't know why you think "suddenly" we have become Romney supporters. I have supported him since 2008...voted for him in that primary and given him money in both elections.

I was all for Romney last time around, I like Cain better this time around but Romeny will probably get the nod and Ill vote for him in the general

Just based on the many posts that praised, first Bachmann, then Perry, and more recently Cain, but always treated Romney as "an outsider."

But then again, it might have just been "posturing," since I expressed very early that I thought Romney would win!. . .Obviously, Right wingers couldn't possibly support or agree with anything a "liberal" says!

Romney would be a lousy president. He's an awkward human being who doesn't really know what he believes in.

It's also a crime what he did with Bain.

What exactly confuses you about that ?

The fact that you label someone a "crook" doesn't mean they broke any laws. I was wondering if you were specifically talking about a Bernie Madoff type, or if you were simply making commenting that Wall Street bankers are "crooks."

One is a documented criminal...and one is a worthless talking point that is not worth even discussing.
