I say give the Conservative Republicans an Enema with an Extra long handle because they are so full of it. They would probably enjoy it. What a Bunch of Mollycottles and Milksops. They just sentenced themselves to Eight years of Hillary.

The republicans are ar far worse than the democrats on just about any measure but you are right that they are full of it - that is because they are all elitists poliicians.

The turmoil in the republian party might just give dems easy pickings in some elections to come. However, the republican base, lik me, hates dems more than it hates pubs. the key will be in turnout. A dispirited base that does not turn out is a victory for dems but an angry base that votes for libertarians, independents, constitution party, and pubs when it must could spell a huge defeat for dems and a minor defeat for pubs.

You must be dreaming Doc.

The Rs, the establishment Rs like the disgusting John McCain, will work with the Ds and the D controlled MSM to reduce turnout by the TP and other non-establishment parties. The fix was in place for 2012 and the elitists saw how well that worked. They will do the same in 2014 and 2016.

The Ds, their media, and the establishment Rs are one on this issue. They will do all they can to keep their power and eliminate competition.

This is a war that is raging right now and the establishment is winning. They are doing all they can to destroy Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and any politician who demands limited government. TP and libertarian Rs are being targeted by the R party with well funded challengers in their primaries.

The R party needs to die. Not the Tea Party.

What Republicans need to do, STOP whining and get it right, or get use to losing..

Cash you are under the impression the R party wants to get it right. And by right, I mean limiting government, eliminating crony capitalism and imposing free market capitalism, and expanding individual liberty and the rule of law. Is this what you mean by right?

If so, I think you are much too optimistic about the R party. Because the establishment Rs, which includes most of them, have no intention of doing what is right. They very much like the status quo and will ruthlessly prevent change, with the help of their friends in the D party, media, academia, and elsewhere.

You make alot of common sense. It could go either way. As of right now I think that at the time of voting the Rep's would have ruined any chance to win. I think More damage is to come for them.

The GOP is trying to commit suicide....I say lets hope they are successful.

The GOP establishment plans to exorcise the Republican Party of the Tea Party and put in place more moderate candidates in 2014.
The Illinois Review reported:

Writing in National Journal, Beth Reinhard reports that the Republican Party is gearing up to exorcise itself of conservative and Tea Party elements it believes will lead the GOP to defeat in 2014.

“Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio, whose new political group, Defending Main Street, aims to raise $8 million to fend off Tea Party challenges against more mainstream Republican incumbents. “We’re going to be very aggressive and we’re going to get in their faces.”

Tactics being discussed among Republican consultants, donors, and party leaders include “running attack ads against Tea Party candidates; overthrowing Ron Paul’s libertarians who have significant influence in the Iowa and Minnesota state parties; promoting open primaries over nominating conventions; and countering conservative organizations like Heritage Action, the Club for Growth, and FreedomWorks.

The group Defending Main Street was set up earlier this year to protect incumbents.

No. We have a one party system now.

If the Rs were to disappear, if only they would, another party would replace them....preferably the Libertarian Party.

Yes! and that one party we have is the Elite Party. Yes! we need more Libertarians - the only ones who truly value liberty.

Somewhere in the Rules for patriots:

"The war between the two parties is a false battle" or something along those lines.

It's never going to happen. Not in our lifetimes. Splitting the Republican party isn't the way to do it. There are a lot more and a lot worse politicians out there just waiting. Obama isn't unique or the last one in line to carry on what he's doing.

All politics are local. If people really cared about the makeup of the parties and the country, that's where they would start making changes.

I am not suggesting splitting the R party. I am suggesting eliminating it. Once that is done, a new party will take its place...and you may be right when you state....its never going to happen.

The Rs are very much like the Ds. Why have an opposition party that is much like the party they oppose? Good examples of this are the very slight differences between Big Ears and the two Rs he defeated. And, BO and W are also very much alike.

The Rs are clearly a leftisit party. There is no party representing the majorty of Americans. There is no opposition party to Obamas Marxist agenda.

So are you saying that Lee, Cruz, Gohmert, Rubio, Gowdy and others like them are just like the Ds? I totally disagree.
