Update: Penn State Administration, Joe Paterno Covered Up Jerry Sandusky's Child Abuse

I Disagree, NCAA is doing an horrorable job theyre biased just like the Media and the Democrats are.

The NCAA became an old boy, Ivy-League weighted group, decidedly favoring the privates over the state institutions and bought and sold by those with money.
They should be dis-jointed and rebuilt with equity and goals that serve the entirety of collegiate sport.

Notre Dame has had trainers send players into games with serious injuries. Well-documented.
How many times have they been on probation?
Or--any Ivy League school?

Right..Notre Dame hass never been on Probation. Thats like when Liberals get racist or sexest nothing gets done to them. But when conservitives get racist or sexest the Media hits them hard and they will get fired or be forced to resign.

Hypocrisy 101--the Hallmark of the democrat party.

HERE IT IS!!! NCAA HYPOCRISY!!

Graham Spanier, disgraced ex-Penn State president, epitomized NCAA hypocrisy

There is one instance in the Freeh Commission report where Graham Spanier, the disgraced former Penn State president, said enough is enough. One instance when he slammed down his authoritative fist to protect the welfare of his charges and the reputation of his institution.

It was December 1997 and Spanier was soon to learn that the longtime Penn State defensive coordinator had been accused of molesting a young boy while showering with him in the Penn State locker room, according to the Freeh report. But Spanier wouldn't stand up to old Jer, because that wouldn't be the "humane" way of handling it. Or so he wrote in an email.
No, Sandusky got to keep fondling right under Spanier's nose for years to come.

Im gonna say it ready?? NCAA IS RACIST!! The Reason why Maryland,,Georgia Kentucky and Florida get hit with Probation is because the School has mostly black athletes. Wheres Rev Sharpton protresting in front of NCAA headquarters? PSU..USC,,UCLA, Notre Dame ,Michigan and Ohio State has mostly white athletes. This is why i want the US Senate committie to Investigate NCAA on racial bias and take the Power away from the NCAA. The U.S Senate Committe should enforce College Sports. The NCAA is like the IOC and the U N. Remember Marion Jones? She had her gold medials striped from her cause Shes black. What About Michael Philips huh? He did drugs samething Maroin Jones did and his gold metals wasnt stripped. Wanna see what the NCAA Committie looks like?

Isn't that Exalted Cyclops and Revered Senate Democrat Legend Robert Byrd there in the center?
I just can't tell...

Smarmy scum the NCAA is--they will WAIT until after the November election to put their finger in the air to see the mood of the country.
Start making plans for soccer at the big Penn State Stadium. If that.

ts going to hurt recruiting of course but Penn State fans are nothing if not die hard. all will be forgotten soon enough.

SMU was a school with rabid--and rich--football fans/program before armageddon.
Death Peanlty kills you--flat out. Name is appropriate.
I doubt they will impose it--many feeble excuses will be offered.
But if so--the NCAA dies as well, and they know it.

Don't forget the big footballs schools do not like the NCAA and their high-handed tactics at all anyhow.
It is liberalism in sports--designed by the same folks that brought you universal trophies and the suggestion that keeping score in games is "bullying".

SMU was a laundry list of NCAA rules violations. Penn State was a criminal matter. Its apples and oranges really. Fire/imprision all involved but no need to punish the players and staff innocent of wrongdoing.

The head football coach sanctioned--knew about--and enabled child rape and pedophilia by one of HIS STAFF knowingly for years.

Death Peanlty--Inevitable. Or boycotts and protests in Happy Valley for years to come.
Recruiting will drop to Zero.
This CANNOT be tolerated and no quarter or forgiveness is acceptable.
Not sayeth me--but sayeth no less than Bob Costas and the sports world in general.
To turn askance at this would be literally impossible.

It is the sad price of having a low-life child-molester-approving coach too revered.
Joe Paternity is JUST AS GUILTY as Sandusky.
In fact--he could have made it stop--Sandusky probably couldn't have.

I'm not suggesting criminal behavior is anything but reprehensible, thats why its criminal. And if its proven that the Trustees (or whoever runs Penn State) knew anything about it then they are complicit and need to pay the price as well. Same goes for anyone involved player, staff, hot dog guy, anyone.

But no justification of visiting the sins of the father on everyone.

Perhaps not--but it will happen. Bank on it.
Go with the Las Vegas odds.

That's like saying when the Oklahoma QB under Switzer sold some drugs way back when--why punish the whole program.
THIS was pedophilia, the RAPE of small boys and many many officials--at the highest level knew of it.

Keep in mind--I would shitcan the NCAA in a heartbeat--but as long as they are there--they have to be consistent.

How is a player any different than a COACH--in these matters?

and what else did those OK kids do ? Shooting uzi's out dowm windows, near and outright rape of co-eds, outrageous behaviors of all kinds AS WELL AS payments and gifts (cars etc) to players from fans. and it was hardly just them. in fact it was so bad and so widespread that the NCAA President's Committee made the unusual act of stripping scholarships to ALL schools and accross sports. Why ? because ALL involved in those athletic depts were complicit and in distain of the NCAA framework. The outcome of individual crimes is a matter for those state's authorities to address.

You should be incensed but you need to direct your ire at the guilty and not the innocent. This is NOT an NCAA matter and those players do not deserve to have their futures ruined for something beyond their control and knowledge.
