For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
WTF is that ^^^ supposed to mean? The earth is neither out of the water nor in the water.
We are supposed to believe that the Earth was made exactly for humans, a terrestrial species, although most of it is covered by water. We as a species are not really good swimmers.
The Bible tells us that meteorites and meteors are stars that fall from the sky, which is of course false. It tells us that the Three Magi managed to get to Bethlehem by following a star.
Think about it: you cannot follow a star. Try it if you don't believe it. And then for some reason, they inquired at Herod's court about the birth of Jesus, so I suppose that following a star was not all that great an idea. And inquiring about a supposed king at the court of a standing king, well, that sort of proves that they were not all that wise.
