Not only did the ill-conceived Cash for Clunkers program, waste taxpayer money at a horrendous rate of more than 24K per clunker, but apparently it wasn't so good for the environment either. Ouch!!

Turns out, the most common deals replaced old Ford or Chevrolet pickups with new ones that got only marginally better gas mileage, according to an analysis of new federal data by The Associated Press.

So the middleclass taxpayer funded a program that sold gas guzzlers and actually hurts the environment! yes it's called CHANGE!

The program killed many birds in one stone. No wonder the Obama Whitehouse was dead set againts releasing these facts when they first knew.

Obama policies are bad in so many ways!
It's called CHANGE!

Plus, if a truck gets better gas mileage it's more superficial with trucks, they can just make that happen with different gearing, but then god forbid the buyer intends to use it for pulling something. I cringe at the thought of how many straight-6's got traded for V8's - like I said they can make the numbers what they want 'em to be but a V8 will never be as efficient. Betting on the 2009 model year is a bad idea on top of a bad idea.
