Govt Motors to recall 8000 Volts

Better mousetrap .... LMAO ... that's great but, you are speaking the language of capitalism, something our brainless liberal friends will never have the intellect to understand!

some of us understand it very well, we understand that profit is not the end all be all of the world and sometimes even private companies can't afford the R and D for new tech that could benefit the nation. the Military does not just sit around waiting for some private company to come up and say, would you like this....But then again I only have a degree in Buisness and work in Sales where my paycheck revolves around selling large ticket items ....I clearly would have no understanding...

Must be nice in your simplistic world...I grew up and got out of it.

And, you can bet your whole little large ticket item sales commission check it ain't because of the the actions of liberal minded folks like you ....

STRAWMAN....STRAWMAN....STRAWMAN!!!!!

No one but you is claiming kill the Volt because it gets good gas mileage and drill instead. Why do you insist on making absurd arguments? You base your opinion on a fallacy so you can then misrepresent your opponents argument....hence you are Mr. Strawman...

But you are in good company. The Skinny Socialist makes strawman arguments every stinking day and you eat it up like a good little doggy.

Here is a good definition for you.
The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position. This sort of "reasoning" has the following pattern:

  1. Person A has position X.
  2. Person B presents position Y (which is a distorted version of X).
  3. Person B attacks position Y.
  4. Therefore X is false/incorrect/flawed.
This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because attacking a distorted version of a position simply does not constitute an attack on the position itself. One might as well expect an attack on a poor drawing of a person to hurt the person.

Toyota has already stepped up and asked the Japanese government for a $2 billion loan to shore up its U.S. lending arm, Toyota Motor Credit Corp. We've also heard that Honda may do the same. Add Nissan and Mazda to the list now. The four biggest Japanese automakers will now all likely ask for government loans to help ensure that sufficient credit is available for U.S. customers to purchase their cars and trucks.

they don't appear to build cars with govt help, just sell them to US customers.
