My Prediction if Romney Loses

The economy could get worse than it is now and stock markets fell sharply today reflecting investors' concerns as it has become clear that Obama will be in charge of America's economic management for the next four years and it's expected that the looming fiscal cliff will push the US economy back into recession.

REPORT HER!

Report what, Stevy?

Can you find anything racist in my post?

And reports don't impress me much, don't you know that yet?

95% of you guys may hate me and my posts may bother you (the truth always create discomfort with people who are not use to it. It is due to cognitive dissonance), but this forum is twice as active when I show up for a bit.

You know, forum always work a lot better when everyone participating is not of the same mindset. That is the best way to kill a forum.

Anyway, I'm having fun. . .Aren't you? :D

The next 4 years will be a rough time for the US. As we have seen, things that need to be done (like re-write the tax code) will never make it through a gridlocked Congress. The Middle East continues to deteriorate - and the pressure is going to be on Obama to "do something". If we continue building up national debt, something is going to crack. At best, Obama is going to be lucky to hold the status quo..

And what move can the the Republican party make to 'lurch' it to the right? The "right" issues of the past (ie, abortion, gay marriage, marijuana, etc) are just not going to lurch anybody... clearly society is tired of those issues. Except for Karl Rove and a few other neo-cons, the bulk of the Republican Party is going to be pushing for fiscal reform. That's popular idea with independents as well.

This election was not a mandate for anyone and may even bring in a new group of leaders whose focus is on solving fiscal problems. By 2016, the pressure will be to solve the really serious problems that threaten our survival. People will tire of Obama's social programs which fix nothing and only cost money.

the House will hold its ground to stop what it can - they will be called obstructionists.

Some of those issues need to be kept alive, that is every time they are fundamental issues to the freedom and original intent of our country.

I know of few socialist leaning countries that reform when faced with unsustainability. If there is to be any reform it needs to come from us because the american congress doesnt have it in them.

Not a chance. The Rs will roll over and do Obama's bidding. You have it exactly backwards. Blaming the conservative wing of the party for this lose is absurd, but the Rs will do exactly that. They nominated a moderate who lost, but you blame conservatives. This is pure foolishness.

It would be silly to blame the conservative part of the party for a moderates loss.

The Tea Party was not effective this time unlike 2010. The Rs recognize the TP lost it's influence and will dump them like an old newspaper. The liberal wing of the R party headed by the Bushs and other elite fools will take over. Plus the media will do a full court press to demonize the Rs in the House, if they fail to do approve Obama's agenda. And they will dutifully go along with Obama.

yes the media will do that. And this election shows that the media still has influence but it is fading everyday as more and more americans rightly lose their trust in the media.

America will continue to be a Kleptocracy with lots of socialism and police state actions thrown in. But on the positive side, its not sustainable so the end is near.

It certainly does have lots of socialism butlike a frog in water few seem to be aware of it. I suspect tat the police actions have been overstated.

Bernanke has stated that he is modeling after the Japanese "lost decade" - at least he is honest. he also stated that he intends to hold qe3 until unemployment improves but does not think it will improve unemployment. Yea he really said that. Only fools think that the purpose of qe is to improve the economy rather then to act as a tax on the american people. the biggest tax in history even bigger than obamcare.

Thats racist to me

Why? Because you KNOW that he is Black?

As I said before, there are Black and White pawns in a chess game. I didn't even MENTIONED his race! If he was Chinese, or Indian, or White, or pink with polka dot, he would still be a pawn in my view.

And that is the end of it!

It is and it is not -- Romney had to lurch so far to the right in order to even secure the nomination (due to the far right conservative base) that coming back the center was just about impossible for anyone to believe.

Racist? What in my comment was racist?

Let me explain it to you. According to leading democrats in the media, politicans and even the entertainment industry, they have repeatedly told us that saying anything to disagree with or that is negative against someone who is not caucasian is racist. Sometimes they call it a dog whistle.

So by using the democrats' logic, which I'm sure you will agree with, your statement about Mr. West is racist.

What is the R Party without the conservatives? I will answer my own question....it is a nothing party and only slightly different from the D Party (really commies). Of course, your suggestion ironically is EXACTLY what the check pants establishment R's want and have tried to accomplish since Reagan left the scene. After two Bushs (who held nothing but disdain for conservatives) and their failed progressive presidencies, and progressive losers Dole, McCain, and Romney, you would think one would learn.

I dispute your opinion that Romney lurched to the right (his comment that he is 'severely conservative' at CPAC was too funny and not believable). It is well known that Romney is a moderate progressive and yet, the conservatives still voted for him as a lesser of two evils. If the R party turns it's back on conservatives, the party dies....and it should.

Romney ran a weak campaign against a sitting POTUS who was a sitting duck. BO was ready for a knockout even more so than the Peanut Farmer and Mitt couldn't get the job done....BECAUSE HE WAS TOO MODERATE.

I hope that I am mistaken -- or that, should this occur, the process can be halted somewhere along the way.
I hope this spells the END of the Republican party. The R's need to fold up their tent and go away.

What do you suggest for saving the RNC? Let me guess... They should go back to being the party of Democrat Lite.

This is a good analysis of Mitt's loss too....

Romney lost for two main reasons: First, as he correctly noted during the campaign, 47 percent of American families are dependent on government handouts and they voted for what was in their own best interests; and second, the GOP leadership antagonized the 10 percent of the Republican Party electorate who supported Ron Paul for President. - Zero Hedge
