In comments to ABC, Mr Obama said race was a "volatile issue" and "it becomes hard for people to separate out race being a sort of part of the backdrop of American society versus race being a predominant factor in any given debate".

"Are there some people who don't like me because of my race?" he said. "I'm sure there are.

"Are there some people who voted for me only because of my race? There are probably some of those too.

But he added that he thought some were "more passionate about the idea of whether government can do anything right.

"And I think that that's probably the biggest driver of some of the vitriol."

As you might have noticed, I'm on a BBC kick right now. I find BBC far more balanced in their reporting than MSNBC, CBS, CNN and so on.

This was shockingly unbelievable that Obama would actually say something correct. From the same guy that said a solution to our oil problem was inflating our tires, he now says something completely correct.

That is the biggest problem. Can government do anything right? And the answer from those in my political camp (a very small membership I might add) is:

Socialism has only been tried a few hundred times now, and consistently caused destruction and usually death. So no, government can't do anything right. Katrina and the sub-prime housing bust, as well as this 'stealfromus' has proven...

No, government can't do anything right. That's exactly why we are so pissed at you politicos.

So score one for Obama. He got it right this time.

Obama told voters that they can take steps individually to save energy.

THE FACTS:

The Department of Energy estimates that keeping tires properly inflated can help improve gas mileage by about 3.3%. It's one step the agency recommends to reduce fuel costs, along with removing items from the trunk, replacing clogged air filters and getting regular tuneups.

Besides the recommendation to keep tires properly inflated, Obama also suggested providing incentives for people to trade in gas guzzling vehicles for more fuel-efficient cars; investing in research and development to produce new fuel-saving technologies like long-running batteries; encouraging innovation in alternative energies; and retrofitting buildings to make them more energy efficient.

Obama revealed his racist views, by condeming White police officers and his own white grandmother. He isn't the role model for America, if he sat in Rev Wright church for 20 years and never objected to the hate!

But what people need to ask themselves is this:
If I don't have a job now, how am I going to prosper in America?

Obama is destroying jobs for all races, no matter what the media is reporting!

In the nature of what Obama was talking about..why dont you show it was based on race...You cant. Fact is my freind gets arresting in his own house like that, I am going to side with them from the start and race has zero to do with it.
